{"id":1312,"date":"2018-08-22T12:40:07","date_gmt":"2018-08-22T12:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.polha.co.uk\/?p=1312"},"modified":"2023-03-24T18:10:34","modified_gmt":"2023-03-24T18:10:34","slug":"developments-shortlisted-for-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harbour.scot\/homes\/developments-shortlisted-for-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Developments shortlisted for awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Developments shortlisted for awards<\/h1>\n<p><a title=\"Read more about St Nicholas Court.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.polha.co.uk\/housing\/development-archive\/st-nicholas-court\/\">St Nicholas Court<\/a>, one of Port of Leith Housing Association (PoLHA)\u2019s sheltered housing developments, has been shortlisted in the Best Older People\u2019s Housing Development (under 70 homes) category at this year\u2019s <a title=\"Visit Inside Housing website.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.insidehousing.co.uk\/events\/events\/inside-housing-development-awards-2019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Inside Housing Development Awards.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>St Nicholas Court was first developed in 1988 as 31 one and two-bedroom flats with an additional four flats added in 1999. As part of the \u00a31.6 million project, an additional eight one-bedroom flats were completed last year, along with a sun lounge and guest bedroom, as well as landscaping.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.polha.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/st-nicholas-court-in-text-image.jpg\" alt=\"Photo of St Nicholas Court.\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Maureen Combe, Sheltered Housing Services Manager at PoLHA, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur St Nicholas Court development has always been a popular choice for people seeking sheltered housing, so we\u2019re thrilled to be able to give more people the opportunity to live here and to have been shortlisted for this UK-wide award is the icing on the cake.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re very proud of the difference we make to people\u2019s lives by providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating community for them to live in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u00a311.5 million <a title=\"Read more about Leith Fort.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.polha.co.uk\/housing\/development-archive\/leith-fort\/\">Leith Fort<\/a> development of 94 affordable homes delivered by Port of Leith Housing Association (PoLHA) and the City of Edinburgh Council (CEC) has also been shortlisted in the Awards &#8211; in the Best Affordable Housing Development category.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.polha.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/leith-fort-in-text-image.jpg\" alt=\"Photo of Leith Fort.\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Keith Anderson, Chief Executive of Port of Leith Housing Association, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled that Leith Fort has received this recognition.
