{"id":2010,"date":"2019-06-11T12:11:33","date_gmt":"2019-06-11T12:11:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.polha.co.uk\/?p=2010"},"modified":"2023-03-24T18:03:12","modified_gmt":"2023-03-24T18:03:12","slug":"leith-gala-day-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harbour.scot\/homes\/leith-gala-day-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Leith Gala Day 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It rained cats (and lots of) dogs at Leith Gala Day on Saturday, but we had lots of fun meeting locals all day at Leith Links.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our stall dazzled with string lights and bunting, but the stars of the show were the Gala Day-ers who took part in our <a title=\"Learn more about Community Works.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.polha.co.uk\/about-us\/what-we-do\/#we-help-you-succeed\">Community Works<\/a> \u2018dream job\u2019 dress-up station. We asked those who dropped by to tell us what their dream job would be and invited them to create their uniform from our dress-up rail. The result was a wall of polaroid snaps full of chefs, police officers, doctors, rock stars and more!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.polha.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Leith-Gala-2019-Chris-chef-e1560254986225.jpg\" alt=\"Photo of a person dressed up as a chef.\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.polha.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Leith-Gala-2019-sm-approved-3.jpg\" alt=\"Photo of a young person dressed as a doctor.\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We also introduced our <a title=\"View new developments.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.polha.co.uk\/new-developments\/\">upcoming developments<\/a> and had a \u2018doodle station\u2019 for locals to tell us how we could help out in the community.
