Tools for Life

Edinburgh Tool Library’s mentorship programme Tools For Life teaches woodworking and DIY skills to young people facing barriers to employment. The aim is for young people to finish the programme with confidence, new life skills and experience as well as exposure to opportunities in community building projects.

At the end of their three month mentorship, we’ll be on hand to offer participants 1:1 employability support and online training, as well as interview and application form practice. With this support, we aim to help young people tackle the ‘what’s next?’ question and carry their new skills into the workplace.
