If you’re thinking of upgrading your internet connection from standard broadband to fibre, that’s great! We do ask that tenants please speak to us first before arranging fibre set up at your home.
What is fibre?
The internet is delivered to your home by a broadband connection – this could be anything from standard broadband, to fibre or 4G. Many homes will have standard broadband as fibre isn’t available to all homes just yet. The main difference is that fibre broadband is a faster and more reliable internet connection than standard broadband.
How do I get fibre broadband?
You should check with your provider that there is fibre coverage in your area, then let us know that you’re thinking of upgrading. Installation of fibre broadband involves work which may disrupt other tenants in your building (drilling, noise etc). By letting us know your intentions to upgrade, we can check whether any of your neighbours in the same building would also like access to fibre broadband, and co-ordinate the installation in a way that keeps everyone informed.
Please let us know if you would like to access fibre broadband in your home by emailing hello@harbour.scot or by phoning 0131 554 0403.
