This large Victorian terraced house underwent a comprehensive refurbishment programme to lower running costs and increase energy efficiency.
We installed double glazing, draft proofing and insulation to reduce heat-loss and increased air-tightness, substantially reducing energy consumption.
The flat roof was fitted with two solar panels that heat the water and ten photovoltaic panels to generate electricity. The hot water requirement for the house is covered entirely during the summer months, whilst the electricity generated is sold back onto the grid.
