A group of Harbour Homes tenants and staff are working together to create ‘Involving You’, our new Tenant Participation Strategy. We’ve talked about how important it is to involve tenants in decisions about things that matter, how to do that, and what we’d like ‘Involving You’ to look and ‘sound’ like. We’ve also eaten a fair number of sandwiches (it’s hungry work!) and got to know each other a bit better.
‘Involving You’ will explain what we’ll do over the next three years to ask you about your home and neighbourhood, listen to your answers, change how we do things so they work well for you, and keep you updated about those changes.
Once we’ve finished writing the strategy we’ll make a plan for activities for the next year – these might be things like filling out surveys, drop-in sessions to talk to housing and maintenance staff, or joining a group to work on something that needs some time and thought. We’ll let you know what these are and how you can be part of them, and we hope you’ll want to get involved in a way that works for you.
How you can influence our new Tenant Participation Strategy
To help us get this right we’d love to hear what you think of the draft of ‘Involving You’, how you’d like to get involved and the important issues you want to be asked about.
The draft is available to view here. Once you’ve had a look, fill in the form to give us your comments. You can also come along to our Tenants’ Afternoon Tea at Leith Dockers on 20 September to chat to us about getting involved and the issues that matter to you.
The more people we hear from the better ‘Involving You’ will be!
