The theme for this year’s Scottish Housing Day is ‘Everyone Needs Good Neighbours’. The day aims to encourage a nationwide discussion on the importance of good neighbours and communities, and how this impacts wellbeing.
Since August this year we’ve been collecting stories from tenants about the neighbours, organisations and local businesses who make their communities brilliant. We’ll come together in October as part of our 50th anniversary celebrations to share some of these stories and join the community in saying a big thank you to the everyday heroes around us.
We’ll be posting more information about the tenant and community awards night soon, watch this space! For now, we’ve shared on this page a sneak peek of the stories from tenants who have been nominating their neighbours over the past few weeks. These are just a handful of messages which show how it’s the little things we do that can make a big difference to the lives of those around us.
