We are pleased to welcome three new directors to our Group Leadership Team at Harbour Homes. Chris Ellis, Chris Thomson and Mike Gibson join Group Director of Neighbourhoods Gordon Cameron to form the restructured Group Leadership Team.
Chris Thomson has been Managing Director of Harbour Multi-Trades since April 2024. He has been appointed as Group Director of Operations, the position previously held by Gordon Cameron. Mike Gibson joined Harbour in February 2026 as Interim Director of Finance. Mike has been permanently appointed as Director of Group Strategic Finance and Assets.
Chris Ellis is the most recent director to join Harbour and was appointed to the new position of Director of Group Corporate Services on 12 August 2026. This is a pivotal strategic role which will play a central part in shaping Harbour’s future direction, culture and performance. Chris joins Harbour from Albyn Housing Society where he served as Head of Performance and Improvement for six years. He brings extensive experience in transformational change and service modernisation. Chris also serves on the Board of Scotland’s Housing Network.
“I’ve lived in Leith for a large part of my life and spent many of my formative years in the communities Harbour serves. The sense of community, character and culture always stood out to me, and the chance to contribute to that is an incredible opportunity,” said Chris.
“Having spent most of my career helping organisations to change and improve, it feels apt to be joining Harbour at such a pivotal time. I’m looking forward to what this next chapter brings.”
Welcoming the new appointments, Heather Kiteley, Group Chief Executive, said: “After a thorough recruitment process, I am pleased to introduce our strengthened Group Leadership Team. I am confident the leadership and direction from our directors will help us deliver the best outcomes for our customers, colleagues and communities.”
